1. Should we have our drains regularly checked for obstructions and build up.  

Answer: Yes it is advisable to maintain a proactive approach to routine maintenance of all waste water and stormwater pipe lines so as to avoid a nasty surprise that allways arises at the most inoppertune time.

2. My pipes make a squeel and bang when the washing machine turns on or off. Can it damage the pipes.  

Answer: Yes. Hydraulic hammering and loose pipes can leed to a rutured pipe  or possable massive losses due to flooding not to mention the disrution to normal  daily routine.

3. Should i activate the manual releif valve triger on my hot water system.

Answer: Yes. At least 4 times a year this should be done to avoid excessive pressure build up on your hot water unit due to the valve being seized.
