HANDY HINTS
- At least once every 6 months, drain the sentiment that accumulates in the bottom of your water heater. Open the drain valve at the bottom of the heater and drain a small amount into a bucket until the water runs clear. This will keep your water heater operating at peak efficiency - and could save your electricty bills
- Every enamel lined mains pressure hot water tank is fitted with either one or two sacrificial anodes which protect the tank from corrosion. Unfortunately the anodes do not last much longer than the standard warranty period of the tank - 5 years. By replacing the anodes every 3-5 years, your hot water tank will last YEARS longer.
